Michael continued his journey in Chile northwards and entered Bolivia via a small train ride that ended in La Paz on the altiplano.

In 1997 I made a trip through Peru and Bolivia and crossed Micheals track from a rainy Lapaz to Copacabana and on to Lake Ticicaca to see the people of the lake (Uros people)
